Attorneys & Counselors at Law
A deliberately small practice, serving a limited number of executives, principals, and enterprises whose affairs require judgment, rigor, and absolute discretion.
The most important matters are rarely the loudest. They are handled, not heralded.
The Firm
Bernstein Associates was founded on a simple premise: that the matters which shape a career, a company, or a family deserve the undivided attention of senior counsel — not the machinery of scale.
We keep the practice intentionally small. We accept few clients, and we decline engagements that would compromise the standard of attention every client is owed. There are no junior hand-offs, no leverage models, and no interest in growth for its own sake.
What we offer instead is proximity: to the work, to the decision, and to you.
Practice
Acquisitions, divestitures, investments, and structures of consequence — negotiated quietly and closed cleanly.
Compensation, equity, separation, and transition matters for senior executives and founders, on either side of the table.
Bilateral counsel for principals and enterprises operating between New York and Tel Aviv, fluent in both markets and both rooms.
High-stakes disagreements resolved, wherever possible, before they become public ones. Litigation, when required, without theater.
Counsel to individuals and family offices on the matters that sit closest to home — governance, succession, and reputation.
Approach
We do not publicize clients, matters, or outcomes. Confidentiality is not a policy here; it is the architecture of the practice. This site names no one — by design.
Advice that is direct, considered, and accountable. We would rather give one correct answer than three defensible ones.
One senior point of contact, reachable when it matters. Counsel is a relationship, not a ticket queue.

Inquiries
If you believe the firm may be of service, we invite a brief, confidential note describing the nature of the matter — without names or particulars. A senior member of the firm responds to every serious inquiry, typically within one business day.
Please do not transmit privileged or sensitive information through this site. Contacting the firm does not create an attorney–client relationship; one is formed only by a signed engagement letter.
